I start it and am force to give it gas to keep it running. However, when I try to put it into drive the rpm drops and it stalls out. Apparantly my wife says she has had trouble starting it the last two weeks, but now it will not stay running at all. How do I check for an air leak? It appears all hoses are attached. What else should I be looking for or considering? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I had a simalar problem last year and it was because my fuel filter was plugged up. I would start with that and go from there. the filter run's at about $15.00 and is a simple install.

still stalling after changing fuel filter

I just changed the fuel filter and it is still stalling. I took over the cover under the hood (intake I think) and I can hear air leaking when it stalls. Does that mean anything?

Any helpers out there?

sounds liek your IAC valve

Yep, IAC, to test, hold the gas pedal down just a little bit, if it keeps running, then it's most likely IAC.

Could be a vacuum leak, but IAC is a known (very common) problem.
