So my uncle want to give me his Ford explorer 2000 4x4 with a 4.0l engine

it a 4 door

He got told that his engine is not an original one and it another model that his german?

Im mostly sure it the sohv because of what i know their is only 2 engine?

But anyways i dont really care about the engine he has 300k kilometer on the odo so i expect it to last another 200 maybe?

Will use Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic for all my oil change to compensate for his negligence of changing it at like 40k km because he think synthetic last longer.. but the filter wont last longer ahah

And for the rear diff i do think im going to go to a shop to weld it.

Im driving in deep snow and thing like that so i think it may worth it to lock it.

Im an experienced 2 wd atv with locked rear so i expect to be able to drive that thing on road it stiffer and harder to turn but so much worth it.

Yea i ride the atv on road too sometime lol wont turn at 60kmh

Any advice for maintenance and everything will be my first vehicle in my entire life im 19 years old :)

Thank you everyone
