Hello. Trying to find out what's wrong with my Ford. I tried turning on and off the car 8 times and pressing all the buttons on the remote but it still doesn't work. Not finding any fuse diagrams that are for my model so not sure if the fuses are correct. I hear a clicking sound from underneath the dash board, not sure what's going on. Please help.

Does it turn over like it's cranking? How fast is the theft light blinking?

The theft light always blinks. Normally about every 2 seconds. Is this what it's doing, or is it blinking faster? Does the engine turn over if you try to start it? If it's an anti-theft issue it will not prevent it from cranking, just from starting. The clicking is most likely a relay.

You're not giving us much to go on but based on what you've said so far, my super-wild-ass guess is that you have a dead battery and the clicking is the battery saver relay. Have you checked your battery and the terminals?

Ok I checked the battery and had it charged. I started with 13V but when I tried starting it it still would start. No sound coming out when I turn the ignition and the battery seems to die out quick. I checked the voltage and it dropped to 9v on the battery. I do see the car trying to save battery because all the lights are cutting off with the sound of the relay.

i had a buddy hook up his truck to mine and it kept the charge but still nothing when I turned the key. The anti theft light is still on when I try to start but it does go away after a bit.

Sounds like either a connection or battery issue, could be a bad battery, the colder weather seems to be finding the weaker batteries.

Did you have the battery load tested? Voltage is important, but it's amperage that starts your engine. A load test (most auto parts stores will do this for free) is the only true test of a battery's state of health. I'm beginning to think you have a bad battery as to dropped from 13V to 9V almost immediately.
