Hi there have 2000 explorer XLS w/66,000 mi. The problem is every few days the fuse for the power window fuse blows out. Ihave had it to 2 shops so far one shop said the windows are wired through the electronic transfer case.Ihad it changed, still blew fuse. The other shop said the short was in the harness that comes from the dash into the driver door, they took it apart said it was fixed, 2days later the fuse blew again. Ihave spent over $700 on this and don't wan't to keep paying to fix it with no results. If anyone else has encountered this or has heard of this problem any help will be appreciated,as Iam considering getting rid of it if it can,t be fixed. Thanks fdon55

You need to find out what event causes the fuse to blow.... then if you are lucky, you can narrow down where to look. Otherwise, you are likely talking $100/hr "seek and find" efforts which as you found out gets expensive fast.
Try causing the fuse failure... push buttons, move steering wheels, open / close doors.

Have the transfer case motor been replaced? The wires to the transfer motor maybe hookup incorrectly.
