2000 mountaineer ac clutch bearing going out

HI my name is terra and i just bought a 00' mountaineer and the ac started making a sucking noise. I had my husband look at it and we wanted to know can you replace the bearing on the clutch part of the air conditioning unit? any help would be greatlee apperated.

You can but it is not an easy job, and in my opinion candidly beyond a typical weekend warrior DIY'er. It is a job worth paying someone to do. I believe in doing a lot of things yourself and mentor lots of folks, but on this one, my advice - pay to have it done.
