The radiator is a major pain. YOU WILL NEED SPECIAL TOOLS. There is a need for a 1- 5/16 flat stamped open end wrench with a square hole for a 1/2" breaker bar for removing the fan clutch from the water pump. You will also need a huge open end to span the four bolt heads on the WP pully to hold it while you turn the nut holding on the fan clutch. You may need to heat it as well.... You will also check the information embossed on the fan shroud to determine thread rotation. RH is normal thread rotation and it will break CCW. These special tools may possibly be used free of charge from Auto Zone.

Now you can remove the fan and shroud. Recommend replacing the belt too at this time. Just a wise move.

The AC condenser is the next big pain. After removing all fluid lines and draining the coolant, you can pull the rad. back toward the engine and have fun trying to separate it from the condenser. After you have finally removed the rad. it should only take you 3 - 5 more hours to button everything back up.

Good luck and remember. Only you can prevent forest fires.

While it is helpful to remove the fan clutch, it's not absolutely necessary. The factory service procedure does not call for it, so it can be done. Also, if you release the anti-rattle clips from the condenser, it makes removal a lot easier...
