2001 Eddie Bauer leaky sun roof

I can hear water sloshing around up there. It was pouring tonight and I was backing up and it poured down my back. No problem going forward. I made sure it was not in the vent position and closed. Are there drain holes that get clogged and can they be cleaned with a wire or something?

Yes. I had the same issue. The drain tubes get clogged. There are videos on Youtube that pertain to most Fords.

There are drain tubes at each corner of the sunroof (4 total), you can easily test each corner by pouring a small amount of clean water into the sunroof pan and seeing if it will drain.

If it doesn't, try running a piece of electrical wire down the tube to break up the clog. Be gentle so you don't break the tube.

Also window seal can leak, had this happen on me...

I used weed-eater (whacker) line to feed down the drain holes. Feed them down the drain hose until you see the line come out the drain hose behind the front wheels. I believe there are only two drain holes in the front two corners of the sunroof opening.
