2001 Explorer. Battery light.

Battery light flashes randomly while driving, in reverse the battery light stays on, guage drops, light dim. Alt putting out 14.3 getting 13.6 at battery at idle. When in reverse alt drops to 13.6 and 12.3 at battery. has new battery and alt, out of ideas. any help?

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 95-01 section. Just because the battery & alternator are new doesn't mean that they are good. Have an auto parts store check them.

Check the connections to alternator, pull and push back the fuse for the alt regulator.
