I had a bad experience coming home from a band gig and my Marshall amp cab fell over and busted out the window of my wife's 2001 Explorer 2-door sport. It's the small rear drivers side passenger window. My insurance deductable is probably more than the replacement cost so I would like to take care of this myself.
I guess I'm looking for a part replacement and general help installing from those who have done so. It looks complex since it was a window you can open with the little lever thing.
And to make things worse when I was about 2 miles from home a cat ran across the road and I'm pretty sure it's life was ended under the back tires of my wife's explorer. My rear view mirror view provided me with a clouded puff of grayish fur. Poor guy. Nothing I could do at 50MPH. Just a little thump and that was it. At least I made it home fine. When my wife wakes up and I tell her what happened to her car I'll be in bad shape though.
And to make things even worse, my band didn't make any money. I busted up my knee, cops basically raided the club next door, and I had a $52 bar tab to top it off.
Thanks for any help you can provide. Maybe I should check out a local junkyard?
