So, apparently the rear hinges are made from Playdoh... I've replaced them THREE times so far, to no avail. The threads on the disc shaped bolt have stripped each of the hinges. Does anyone have a permanent fix to this solution? Those hinges are a rarity at my local u-pull-it yard... :thumbdwn:

I had the same problem with my sport. What I did was grab a "new" pair from the junk yard. With some thread left of course. I copied the rubber washers on to some craft foam and used the new foam ones. Then I placed a dab of silicone (available at any major hardware store) on the screw with the torx head and and intalled them like that. Also, make sure you tighten the 10 mm nuts that hold the hinges to the actual tailgate. It has been about 8 months since I've done this and it hasn't given any problems yet! *fingers crossed*

I used jbweld. Got some newsed ones from the jy and put a dab on the threads.
