Hello to everyone....

I got a 2001 explorer xlt in a trade deal...Vehicle has 86000 miles...nice shape...

However, when it is 85 degrees outside after driving it on the highway for 20 minutes or so and you come to a stop the idle is very erratic and it stalls....engine will restart immediately and will idle...put it into gear and it stalls..no codes..no engine light...doesnt matter the amount of fuel in tank..It will stall very consistently on hot days...

I have replaced:
fuel pump
fuel filter
IAC
pcv valve
maf
plugs
coilpack
airfilter
gas cap
02 sensors

I have a donor vehicle that I have been swapping parts off of....

VERY VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THIS FORD....first one I have ever owned and will more than likely be my last...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

fixed it....no thanks to this forum

the problem was a cheap fuel pump....Never and I mean never buy one from autozone or oreilys.....cheap crap...

best to get a bosch or a carter...available on ebay for around $60
