2001 ford explorer stalls on a cold start

my 2001 ford explorer stalls on a cold start and doesnt idle.

Maybe this will help

I have a '99 Explorer that idles rough and stalls after sitting overnight when it's cold out. Once it warmed up, the idle goes back to normal and it runs fine.

Turns out it needed a new set of intake manifold gaskets and I found the solution on this very useful post. Hope it helps your too.

Try cleaning your IAC Valve. There are instructions on the forum somewhere. Try searching around. It's very easy to do and definitely a cheap fix (if it works).
