Hello, New to the forum. I've been on a few forums to find out how I can remedy this problem I am having with my Ranger. By the way I also have a 2005 Explorer and a 1998 Explorer!!! They are all my babies!

Anyway my Ranger is a 2001 3.0 I had to replace the slave assembly because the bearing was bad. So I replaced everything including: Pilot bearing, flywheel, clutch plate, pressure plate, slave w/bearing, and the master cylinder. After I bench bled the master and followed instructions on bleeding the system I installed everything and could not get the truck in gear. So I was told I still have air in the system. (by many people online and local transmission shops).

I have since bled it in many different ways including: by the book, bench bled master again, vacum bleeder, gravity bleed, i've tried turning the master all different angles. I do not see any air coming out from the slave at that bleeder screw. This has been ongoing for three days. I do see the slave moving forward but it seems like it's not moving far enough. Pedal is still soft it only gets stiff at the very bottom just before it hits the floor and that seems to be right where the slave stops moving.

Note: It does go into all gears while not running. Also I can start the car in first gear with NO foot on the clutch and it does not jump forward.

If anyone has any idea I am open to any suggestions! My Ranger is my work truck and I have not been able to work because of it! (swimming pool repair)

Please Help!
