ok when i try to start the truck it sounds like it is
turning over to fast,, like when a chain is broke
we broke it down to the main chain and it was fine
but the tensioner was broke and we replaced it and put it
back together and it still does the same thing
so we just replaced the camshaft position sensor
and still nothing changed
any suggestions?
could it be the crankshaft position sensor

any help would be appreciated

i cant afford another motor or the $700 timing kit

You need to check the rear chain, because there's a good chance it's no longer connected (that's what it does when the rear chain goes -- at least on mine). Pull the right valve cover and check. Crank and cam sensors have nothing to do with this.

You said the front tensioner was broken. Did you mean the tensioner or the front chain guide?

It actually is spinning the engine and not just the starter, right?

Check the timing integrity first ... worry about how to deal with it once you have a better idea what's going on.

Compression test

A sensor shouldn't make the engine crank faster but low or no compression would. I suggest that you perform a compression test. Low compression on all cylinders on one bank equals slipped chain for that bank. Zero compression on all cylinders on one bank equals damaged valves. Low compression on all cylinders equals slipped primary (crankshaft to jackshaft) chain.
