After replacing my driver's side pre-tensioner, the 3-3 code I was displaying was immediately replaced with a 5-1 code which is supposed to caused by the the airbag module. Evidently there is a thermal fuse in it that has opened up. I"m pretty sure I can repair that myself if I can find the correct fuse.
My problem is I cannot find the location of the module anywhere on the net. I have almost completed removing the center console but have stopped as I notice no wiring that would be associated with the airbag system, so I thought I would take a break before getting down to that point and getting really frustrated.
I realize this forum is for 95 to 01, but since there didn't seem to be one for 02.....
Well, I sure would appreciate it if someone in here knew either the answer or maybe a site that would show it.

On the 2nd gen Explorers it is in the dash near the passenger side air bag If I remember correctly. If you remove the passenger air bag I think it might be accessable on the left side of the opening. Not sure on an 02 tho. Hope this helps
