2002 Eddie Bauer V8 Swishing noise on acceleration

I have a 2002 Edie Bauer V8 with low miles, 33,000 miles. Yesterday I went to Costco to replace my tires with Michelins. The vehicle is notalby quieter now, but I notice that when I step on the gas, I get a hissing sound like almost like a vacuum actuator bleedoff or maybe a leak? Not sure what the problem is or if it was coincidental to the tire work that I had done. Is there something that they could have screwed up? I dont' recall the sound being there before I replaced the tires. Also, I am not getting any check engine lights or codes.
The swish noise subsides after I accelerate up to speed.

Turning up the radio usually helps this problem. Seriously though, many folks have reported this noise, sometimes associated with cold winter temps. I've experienced it on-off for several years. You could try cleaning the IAC valve, as shown here:
