The past few days, I've noticed that when my Explorer is cold, the first time or two I turn the steering wheel full right, there's a really faint low-pitched squeak and I feel a faint vibration (for lack of a better word...it feels like something isn't lubricated, really). There is no increased resistance to turning the wheel, or anything like that.
So I'm wondering
1. Is this likely to be something that needs lubricated in the steering column itself, or something in the steering linkage or suspension?
2. Why is it happening only when the truck is cold?
Thanks for any suggestions.
