Just finished re-installing my intermediate servo set up. Ran engine in driveway going through all the detents while the engine warmed up. Looked under vehicle to AGAIN find a big puddle of tranny fluid. The servo blew out AGAIN! What causes this to happen when it is NOT a snap ring seating issue ? Perhaps there is a pressure problem? Maybe a solenoid issue ? Please help! I can't afford to put in another transmission. I'm at wits end. Thanks a lot ! Larry

Clean the groove where the snap ring seats. Check for wear & cracks.

Check the groove thoroughly, use an inspection mirror and make sure there are no missing or damaged areas in the groove. Check the snap ring and cap as well. Are the outer edges of the ring damaged or rounded off at all? Is there wear or damage on the cap?

A properly seated snap ring in a non-compromised groove should not ‘blow out’ under the pressure in the tranny.

Did you install a new servo piston also?
