A few questions
Can a 2002 5r55w transmission be replaced with a 5r55s transmission with out any problems or driving issues ?
Can a 2002 K engine code v6 be replaced with a E engine code v6 ? I believe that one is a flex fuel and one is not. Are the long blocks the same and what would I need to change to make it work ? I was told the upper intake and sensors . Would I also need to change the lower intake ?
Thanks for any help,Jim.

The transmission ? I can say a little about; the rest no, sorry!

The repair manual published for 5R55W and S are both in one edition, no mention of exactly what differences exist, if any. Tear-down and assembly are identical. I suspect the main difference between the two is more of a programming nature than mechanical difference between them, that is, the computer works slightly differently with one than the other. So, I THINK if the "S" trans came from the same engine type as the "W", that is, mounting to the engine is the same, the "S" would function similarly to the way the "W" did. I THINK. I could be wrong. imp
