2002 Explorer not engaging

Hello everybody. I’m a new member as I just joined today because of the problem I’m having with my Explorer. And I hope someone is able to help me out.. I was just driving home from work, so I said let me get a couple packs of chocolate for my daughter so she doesn’t disturb my sleep when I’m back home ... Packed at the supermarket lot while every gear was engaging properly. On coming back to my car, started it, and every gear starts to move around like it’s on neural ... Haven’t experienced anything of such before... I had it towed away from there...well, it’s in my compound as I type on here.... Any help would be appreciated .... btw, she didn’t disturb me whilst I slept

Automatic or standard? If it’s an auto and won’t move at all, it’s probabky time for a rebuild.

Sorry, it was a typo... Neutral .... I found out what the problem is... these are the items my engineer changed and it’s back to normal now.... thank you all
