So i have a problem and i think i know the solution but i want to run it by you guys just to make sure i am right.
Yesterday started 2002 Explorer and it started fine, no issues, drove it maybe 600ft and it was running for less then 10 min and turned it off. went to start it again and it started but as soon as it was put into gear it stalled and would not start again (would turn over but would not catch).
Waited hour or so went out and it started up fine no issues drove it the 600ft back to the driveway with no problems turned it off and went to get ready for work. Went out and it would start but again as soon as i put it into gear (FWD or REV) the idle would drop and the computer would catch it and rev a little and even out and run fine but as soon as you change the gear from FWD to REV it would repeat that process. This time it did not stall but it is having trouble.
Doing a little research on this wonderful thing call the internet i am thinking it is the IAC (Idle Air Control) Valve but most of the people that are having issues with the IAC are on the generation before mine (1995 - 2001)...
