2002 Speaker Sizes

Hey everyone, I got a newbie question here. I just picked up my '02 Limited, and I'm thinking of upgrading the speakers. What sizes fit in the doors and rear? Also, I noticed I have only one speaker on the passenger side in the cargo area... I haven't pulled anything out, so is that a 5th one, or a sub? Oh ya, it's got the factory 6 cd changer.

That's Not a speaker its the stock sub, and from what I've heard its a PITA to remove, luckily I didn't have one

both 5x7 and 6x8 sizes will fit in your doors. i have an 05 mounty and i just put in a pair of 5x7 3way MTX's...sounds great. your factory sub is 8inch and a s.o.b. to remove. if you chenge your door speakers and you get an aftermarket radio there will be a BIG difference.

Wow, a factory sub... Does that mean I could just wire in an aftermarket one, and it'll work? Does anyone know what the x-over frequeny is, or what kind of watts it puts out? Or should I just forget that, and use my own amp+sub?

The factoy amp won't power a aftermarket subs. Well maybe a lower rms sub. Just get an all aftermarket system.
