Im trying to hook up an amp and subs.... im stuck on how to get the stock cd player out??? Do i have to rip the whole dash apart, or one of my friends said theres a special key that will straight pull it out, and thats the only way to get it out????

i got my sub and amp hooked up and i didnt get to watch the process but looking at my own CD player i think you have to remove the top dash to get behind it, or try and pull off the front face.

best of luck

Here's a diagram:

Haha, I'd use those tools on an import in a second!

I screen captured that diagram from the Ford Service manual dvd I have. Covers everything from the engine to body panels. Like it says in my signature.

In the diagram does the center instrument panel just pop out or what?? Cause it seems to be in there and i have the wood grain so im trying to be as easy on it as possible

You have to use a screwdriver or something similar (something flat skinny and plastic would be best) to push behind it pop it out. It feels like you're gonna break it at first but it won't. Once you get one spot popped out just work your fingers around the edge until it all comes out. Be careful about pushing hard into the dash surrounding the panel because the first time I removed mine (to install a sub and amp) I pushed too hard and made a permanent indention. It's easy though.
