Hi all. I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on with this. My stock head unit started having issues a couple of weeks ago and it has gotten worse. First it would switch to CD from FM if I hit a hard bump...no serious issue thought it was just something loose that caused it to switch. But about two days ago it now while i am listening to the radio it will random shut off the radio and the display will continually flash "Err" then "CD" and then sometimes go to Track 01 of a non existent CD or flip back to the radio. So does anyone know if the head unit is shot and I need to get an aftermarket one now(I really dont want to lose my cassette player) or is there some fix for this issue?

Sadly, the head unit is probably garbage.
Have you checked that the front buttons aren't sticking? If they're not, you might as well swap it.

Instead of putting an aftermarket one in, you can get a radio from a scrap yard.

Head out to a scrap yard and pull one, check in the lot if it works. Most scrap yards now have a return policy, and they don't care if you do work in their lot.
So, take one from a 2002, put it in yours, if it doesn't work, go back, get another one.

I'm young, but I still have tons of Cassettes, so I know how you feel.
Plus, I use one of those Cassette adapters for my phone.

Mine does the exact same thing.
