2002 XLT Power Mirror problem

Hi there, long time lurker finally posting. Have a problem with the power mirrors on my X. On both side i can only pan up and down. Will not pan in and out on either side. Any advise greatly appreciated.

Its either switch or broken wires in driver door boot area.

Check out my how to on installing signal mirrors. You can use that for removing the door panel and the mirror adjustment switch.

I had dirty contacts on my truck, opened up the switch area and sprayed some contact cleaner and rocked the switch back and forth about 4 or 5 times, they work now. just my 2c.

Was the switch. Replace with one from salvage yard. Works as it should now. Thanks to all who replyed.,,,,
