I have a 2003 Explorer XLT v6 2wd. I'm setting it up for a trip out west - camping in the car some. I want to be able to lower the electric windows without turning the ignition key. From reading here - I concluded that the accessory delay relay drops power to the windows and the radio. I therefore installed a switch across the contacts on the delay relay - problem solved I thought. As it turns out - when this switch is on (bypass relay) the car battery dies - with the radio off and the windows left untouched. I measured the current from the battery and discovered that the drain on the battery is 1.0 amp when this relay is bypassed - radio off. So it's obvious there is one or more other things getting power from this relay. Any ideas as to what else is on this circuit?
Thanks
