HI,
I did a search, and read numerous posts, but didn't see one quite like mine...
I have a 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Baur, 4.0L it has 144k on it. Trans has fluid changed twice in its life. last one was at 90k Until yesterday I haven't had a single trans problem.
The problem is with reverse and 1st. From a stop It feels like it is slipping then slams into gear. Other than 1st and Reverse its slow to shift into other gears it seems. Like a delay to when its actually suppose to shift into gear.. While in drive I can actually stay off the gas enough for it to not slam into gear. No flashing O/D light no check engine light.
Anyone know what it could be? Im hopping that I dont have to replace the trans. Thanks in advance!
