Hello all,
I hate to be that guy, first day on forums and probably posting question on wrong page. I've searched the forums and I haven't found my problem or to frustrated with the truck to see clearly. AC clutch is engaging intermittently at 3 to 5 seconds. I thought it needed freon, so I charged with cheapo can with gauge. I don't want to overcharge, but clutch only stays on for a few secs. I cant get reliable reading. I checked voltage at compressor pigtail to see if my clutch it getting voltage 14vdc when ac is turned on. This leads me to clutch being bad? if it where a low pressure switch there wouldn't be voltage to the clutch correct? It's my college kid's car, it's 100 degrees already and she's home for the summer. I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you in advance for your time.
