Hello everyone

I am nearing the leas of my 2003 explorer sport and have had trouble free driving all this time. The only exception is that I find the truck lags lower in the back than in the front (always looks like there is something heavy in the back). I've seen this on other explorers as well. Is this a syndrome of the F-expolrer , is it fixable?? What could this be?

Any one out there with the 2003 and happy they kept theirs?

Cheers and thanks
MM

nothing to worry about.

thats normal with explorers mine is an 02'. as far as i can think its because of the independent front and rear suspension. u cud try putting different shocks on it.

Ive got an 03 sport. all explorer sports have solid 8.8" rear axles leaf sprung, shocks wont fix this problem, The way i can see this being fixed is with add a leafs or an 1" lift block in the rear

hmm

i figured shocks wouldn't do anything. that sag in the rearend looks normal to me . i see it a lot on blazer's and 4Runner's

hello , i had the same problem even completely empty of my tools and still sagging so i picked up a good used leaf pack i took my old one off left my master leaf on and added the new leaf pack , so i now have a newer full pack plus my master so thats one extra leaf aswell as a full pack and my ex sits nice and high no sag at all !

Everything is “fixable“, just depends on how much time/money you want to spend.

Good luck with your truck!!!

^^^ True ... at least until parts start going away.
