Hey everyone, I have searched on here for information regarding my rear springs and have determined that people are putting leaves from 4 door explorers on 2 door ones. I am unable to determine what I need to do to make this happen for my year of explorer. I have an 03 sport and I want to swap out the saggy rear springs with something more robust. I am not overly concerned about gaining any lift from it although an inch might be cool. If anyone out there has info or can direct me to some I would appreciate it. I am wondering how difficult it is to swap the springs in my garage- I am mechanically inclined and have done my share of tinkering.

Changing springs is easy. Just make shure you have some good jack stands to set the truck on because you will have to unload the springs to get them off. Find you a manual it should have the torque specs for the bolts. Most will tell you to replace the u-bolts, I think its recomended. As for lift 4 door springs gave my ranger abought 2" of lift. I cant tell you on a sport but probably 1"-2". Just remember stiffer springs = les flex. If you arent looking for more lift or towing I would recomend a new 2 door set. (opinion)
