I am having a problem starting my 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. I put a charger on it and than used a booster charger and it started. The problem I am seeing is after starting it and letting it run the engine dies and the battery led on the dashboard goes to Low and the oil pressure also goes to Low. Can someone help as I'm not sure it is the battery or alternator or not even this. Thanks in advance for your help.

I would guess that if it will start with a jump, but not keep running the alternator is bad. Have you put the battery on a charger? If the battery is fully charged and will start the truck and keep it running this would also point to the alternator.
Best idea at this point it to take the battery & alternator to the parts place and get them tested.

PS Use the default font.

Thanks. I can get the vehicle started as I said but it runs ok for a while and dies. I'll have both the battery and alternator tested as you suggest...
