Hello,

I have read many of the treads on the forum about ABS engaging at low speeds and decided to change my front left ABS Speed sensor as the truck would pull right when coming to a stop and sensor would engage. After replacing the sensor the problem was not fixed. I went in to auto shop and talked through the problem and it was suggested that the issue is the ABS Module. Appears this is a hard part to track down and i assume it will be expensive once i find it.

My question is, does anyone have other ideas as to what is going on? Should I be trying other ideas before going down the path of a new ABS Module?

Note: When replacing the new ABS Speed Sensor it did drop onto the garage floor as I was getting ready to work on it. Assuming this part is probably sensitive... is it possible I damaged it?

Any thoughts/ideas are welcomed!

Could have replaced the wrong sensor.

Could just be corrosion in the mount, or signal generators are full of metallic debris.

Could be signal generators in the rotors, or the rear brake drums/rotors.

Could be that the replacement rotors where defective - if you recently replaced them.

Replacement rotors have been found to have the signal generator pressed in too far.

If you have rear drums, the slack adjuster can come apart causing ABS issues.

That's a lot of "Could be's" yes?

I'd say you still have brakes at all four corners that need inspection and servicing.

First clean all the sensors and rings
