2003 Ford Ranger Edge 4.0
I have an 03 Edge 4.0L with 199305 miles on it. A while ago the upper thermostat housing cracked, later I had a leak in my radiator. Both of those items have been fixed but now I burn through about a gallon of water a week, the radiator has an exhaust odor to it. The oil doesnt show any signs of water intrusion and I did the spark plugs about 2 weeks ago and the only bad signs I saw on them was from heat (when the radiator leaked). There are currently no external leaks and I only get warm air from the heater when I am above 1500 rpms. Any ideas?

It's possible your coolant is being lost through your water pump's weep hole, and worn water pump vanes are a known problem on 3.0 engines, so it's possible that that's what's causing you to only get warm air out of your heater at higher RPMs.
