Hi all,
Having introduced myself in the new members thread I am here searching for the answer for an issue with my '03 Ranger (3.0 V6). It kicks over and idles smoothly, and I can give it plenty of throttle, no stumbles or shakes. All electrical accessories function properly. I put it in gear and drive away, and it stalls. I turn the key a couple times and get nothing, or a rapid clicking noise coming from the steering column/dash area. I pop the hood, disconnect the battery negative and reconnect it. Starts right up, but the cycle repeats itself. It used to be an infrequent problem, now it's almost guaranteed to happen. I did some searches, but can't find anything specific to the problem I'm having.
Any ideas?
