well I have a new noise, it appears to come from the rear end but is only evident when the 4x4 is engaged. it sounds like the sound you would hear when driving on the highway & you are driving over the sections of the highway but instead of the thump thump its just 1 thump & it only happens about 1-3 seconds after letting off the throttle.
a little background, i have had wheel trouble for many months, bent rims causing severe shaking/vibration in the wheel & in my seat. especially over 55. i put a set of wheels on the front & the shaking went away but the wheels were smaller diameter than the rear & at one point I had the truck in 4x4 & wow, was that a f@#!@ed up drive, i quickly realized I should not do that I put it back in 2 wd. i drove the car about another 200 miles in 2wd with the different times on front & rear with no issue, now I have all 4 wheels the same(all smaller diameter than originally on the truck) & last week I drove in 4x4 & that is when I heard/felt the issue
