Hello. Does anyone know where the end of this vacuum line is supposed to plug into? In the attached pic, I circled the connected end with green, and circled the disconnected end in orange. The mechanic found the disconnected end hanging down by the driver side front tire during a quick-stop oil change.

Here is another pic of the end of the vac line that is connected (which I traced with a green line). It's the other end of this line that is disconnected (circled in orange in above pic). I am trying to find out where to connect it to. Any ideas are appreciated. Motor is 4.0 SOHC on 2003 Sport Trac XLT.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this! This makes sense to me considering the mechanic found it hanging by the driver front tire. I guess I better stick my head up under the front/behind the tire and look for this. ;) :) I will let you know if this was it.

Hahaha on photo ... it was just fine. Absolutely no need to apologize. You were spot-on! 💯 It was under the battery box, and on the part that you located in your pic. Also, previously the Check Engine and the Fuel Cap dash lights were on, but now they are off. :) Sheeeewwwh, Thankful for that too. :) I sincerely appreciate you taking the time and effort to point me in the right direction, and providing the help. THANK YOU!!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
