2003 transfer case motor issue or control module

2003 Explorer sport trac
I have a 2003 sport trac that is not shifting properly from 2 to 4 wheel drive. The motor does turn but is in the wrong positions. I'm thinking it is the transfer case motor assembly with the postion sensors is bad. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Problem found, 4x4 transfer case motor was on the outs. Thanks for all the repleys and help from this site. Lol
