I saw a couple old threads here to start me in the right direction. Checked the fuses and no problem there. So I pulled the driver door panel off. There wasn't anything glaringly obvious. I did check that the plug from the end of the wires to the switches on the door were secure. But I ran out of time before I could pull off all the electrical tape or follow the wires completely looking for a break.
I threw the door panel back on and tightened everything up and just for kicks I tried the windows. . .and they worked! But the glory was short lived, as by the next time I started up the car they were dead again.
So I think I've narrowed it down to either a broken wire that could make occasional contact or a loose connection somewhere.
Anyone got any other plausible theories? If it is a loose connection, do I just need to play with the wires, or could it be an issue with the plug or switch the the wires are connected to? I will probably be at it again this week, but I thought I would throw this out to see if anyone had thoughts before I burn too much time on it.
Thanks!
