2003 XLT Rear Hatch Door Pin Issue

I searched this forum, but I didn't see anything on my issue. It's on a 2003 XLT 2 Door. It seems that the passenger side rear hatch door pin is stuck or frozen. The driver's side releases but not the passenger side. Is this an easy fix? I assuming I have to take off the door panel and take out the locking mechanism.
