Hi all. I have been a long time lurker and appreciate all of the information I have learned about Explorers over the years from this site. I am having an issue that I cannot find an existing thread on.
If I brake relatively hard (not a panic stop even) from 45 mph or higher, after I come to a stop, the truck will still be running, but then when I try to start up again the car will not move forward, and it either 1) dies, or 2) seems to clunk and rev a bit and then die.
It seems transmission related and not electrical/ignition since it does not die right away, like the momentum is killing something. The fluid in the transmission has been changed religously with AMSOIL, and the level is right on. Not sure if the TCC Solenoid is maybe going? Any help would be appreciated.
