Hey yall,
I was reading up about delayed throttle response associated with this truck and wanted to share my fix.
What was it doing? When you would apply throttle (didn't matter under what circumstance, ie cold startup, coming from reverse, etc...) You had to push the throttle down about a 1/2" or so before you get any response and it seems to respond too quickly when it did.
Not only that but the fuel mileage was sucking too. down to 12mpg around town.
I took it into the dealer to update the ecm and viola! Probelm solved and mpg's jumped to 16.5 around town!
I know this issue can be addressed with different solutions but this is what fixed mine...cost me $90. Just thought I'd share.
