New to the forum. Hi!

I just purchased a 2004 EB explorer and am very excited. It has the original 6-disc cd changer in it. I would love to be able to replace it with a single disc player that can play my mp3 player AND has in-dash GPS navigator (blue-toothe for phone would be awesome, too, but not required).

My question is this: Is there a unit that would do all of this that can still hook into my current wiring and still be controlled through the steering wheel controls?

I haven't changed a radio in a vehicle for a long time, and, even then, it was in vehicles from the 1970's, so I don't have a lot of experience there.

Thanks,

Mark

There are lots of headunits with those specs, from 150 bucks cheap ones, to 700 top of the line, its a matter of comparing and buying what covers your needs, but I wouldn't recommend the cheap ones. Get to Crutchfield website and such, and also you can get plug and play harnesses to keep the install simple and clean, as well as keeping your steering controls.

If you're looking for a Navigation Headunit, most are around $300.
For the steering wheel controls, you'll need to buy a special adapter. It's not too bad to hook up. Assuming you know car electrical fairly well.
