Hi,
I am troubleshooting a problem with my 2004 XLT Explorer. While going through the motions, I remote locked the car while hood was up. Then I decided to check a fuse. Removed negative battery cable, checked fuse and then decided that I would leave the battery disconnected and shut the hood.
Went out to the car later on and tried to unlock with remote and remember that I had disconnected battery. Thought, no problem I can just use the key in the door.......No chance...Key will not go in as it looks like there is damage from a previous break in. Haven't used the key ever to get in the car. oh how lazy we have become
So, my question. How do I get the hood open with out power and no way of getting into the cab?
Anyway, I will be posing my original issue here soon, no suprise it is transmission related
, but wanted to get some OBD codes first.
If anyone can help with getting the hood open, would be greatly apprieciated.
THanks,
Paul
