2004 Explorer xlt - 4.6l - 4x4 (dependability advice)

This is my First thread here on your site Great Site!!.
I am looking at a:
"2004 Explorer XLT - 4.6l - 4x4 w/ 94000 miles"
I am aware of the possible timing chain issues with the 4.6l motors.
This one has the: running boards & roof rack & tow package plus - a 373 geared Limited Slip Rear End
Also comes with all its maintenance history records But, I have not looked at the records yet
Any feedback on this year (2004) of Explorer for its "Dependability"... is Appreciated.

I have a friend with the exact same model as your are talking about. He loves his but has had all the normal issues of that generation Exploder. I have a V6 2wd 04 and have also had the normal problems but like it overall. You might check the 3rd gen section for more input.

I appreciate it.
My mistake by putting this thread in this Forum, I did not know what: Sport Trac meant. I guessed it was similar to: Control Trac.
The Write-Ups are good for this vehicle in the: "Edmunds.com Consumer Reviews" between 4.3 & 4.5 out of 5. That seems like Excellent Rating's on a vehicle review, in my opinion??
