good afternoon!
Last week when I went to turn my car off the key was stuck. To make a long story short I ended up purchasing a new ignition cylinder kit that came with the cylinder, 3 keys and a transponder or transceiver to program the new keys. I remove the old cylinder and install the new cylinder (first I made sure new cylinder had a smooth rotation) ok new cylinder clicks into housing but that key also gets stuck it won't let me turn the key in position to release it, again I remove the new cylinder from housing check rotation lube it up and try again to no avail it just binds up.

First see FordFlintrock's reply in the other topic, here:

If that is not the problem, then I'd guess that there is damage to the piece behind it and that needs replaced.

Is there anything between the cylinder and the ignition switch behind it? If so then I would extract that piece and examine it. If there is nothing between these two, then I would suspect that the ignition switch itself has failed mechanically, or somehow came loose.

I am a little confused though, if the key is stuck in the cylinder, do you mean that you installed the cylinder with the key already in it? I would then wonder if the cylinder could not fully seat into the ignition switch because the key was in it. I could be wrong, but would have installed the cylinder without the key in it, wiggle the cylinder around to see if it seats differently, and then try to put a key in.

I tried installing without key but inorder for the cylinder to be installed the key has to be in it in order to be in correct position or else it won't line up to go in. As far as the ignition switch I recently replaced that I'm gonna check it out anyway but I'm confident (really about nothing jk) the ignition cylinder is in were it should be being that release button clicks into place it would go in at all otherwise.
