hello all i am in the process of buying all the part's to custom build an rear mount turbo kit not the exhaust manifold type due to i don't want to pay alot more to have that header customized so im going to take out my 3rd cat that is by the transfer case and mount it there and run the intake tube up into the bed of my truck for the air so i don't have to worry about avoiding water puddles or anything but can you guys tell me what all i need to get it going i have found a custom kit online but only comes with intercooler piping and i need to know what other piping and stuff i would need i am only going to be running 5-6 lbs of boost any info please let me know thank you feel free to email me directly blutank04@q.com cause that goes straight to my phone and i dont know how often ill check on here so any suggestions feel free thanks

Sounds like an interesting build! There really aren't a whole lot of performance parts out there for the SOHC engines since the Mustang guys just buy the V8 :rolleyes:
I like the idea of putting the intake behind the cab. You might be able to build a sort of snorkel intake that fits between the bed and cab so you don't have to sacrifice any cargo space. Remember that you'll need to run oil lines from the engine out to the turbo as well.
 






Thank you. Ok I will look around in there. Yea I have been kicking around doing the custom sohc turbo build or just swapping the motor to a cummins 4bt motor and crank the power up ha.. But yea I am going Yo do a rear mounted turbo I'm thinking and run the intake tubing actually into the bed of my 04 that's like yours winter.
