2004 mountaineer ac problem

2004 mountaineer ac compressor seems like it never engages .vents blow warm air only . engine never under load.ac indicator light is on.please help

Maybe needs a charge (and/or has a leak). Do you have the rear air also?

thanks for the reply.it does not have rear ac.could a cAR THIS NEW HAVE A LEAK OR NEED A CHARGE ALREADY?WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF IT BEING AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM?IF LOW ON REFRIGERANT WILLCOMPRESSOR NOT ENGAGE? THANKS AGAIN.
