To be blunt, I'm pretty sure I fried the clutches in my transmission. Sadly, my truck has been parked for awhile and I'm ready to get it moving again. I'd like to do a performance-ish rebuild, if at all possible. I know these transmissions aren't the most popular. I'd like a shift kit at the bare minimum. Transgo, seems heavily recommended here, but the sonnax kit looks a lot better. Should I bother with a torque converter, or will the shift kit suffice? Lastly and most importantly can you all recommended a rebuild a kit? All the kits on rock auto come with different stuff, is there a preferred one from you guys?
Now the monkey wrench, should I just manual swap it or 5.0 4r70w swap?
