Hi everyone! I am new to this site and have been doing alot of research on the problems my truck has. I will have access to a heavy equipment motor pool next week so I need to get some things taken care of. Her is a list of my current problems and questions:

1) I have the cam chain tensioner problem which is pretty loud during cold start ups. Other than start ups, it is not very noticeable. My question with this is what exact parts are needed for the 04 to silence this issue without pulling the engine? I see alot of detailed posts for the previous gen but the 04 gen is more confusing (some say its just oil starvation)

2) I have the whine that at first i thought was a bad ground because it was in tune precisely with my acceleration. It sounds like its coming from the front/driver side but have been told its a rear diff problem since it is in tune with the gas pedal. Front hubs/bearings or rear diff???

3) I have a vibration when turning left or right that seems to be getting worse. It actually stops the farther I turn but a slight turn in either direction results in vibration.

4) Truck squeaks terribly when i go over anything! I figured it was the struts but further research came up with the ball joint needing to be replaced. Any thoughts.

5) When I turn the wheel to the left/right ALL THE WAY, sometimes there is a popping sound.

6) My bank account is about to deteriorate? ANy suggestions :)

I have done a great deal of research but just want to be completely sure before I start spending $$$$ on parts that I dont need. Most important I would have to say is the tensioners. I do not want any serious issues to arise with that. Thanks everyone!! :salute:

1) Not sure
2) Sounds like the rear-end whine if the sound is continuous. If it's more like a rum rum rum and gets faster with speed, it could be the rear wheel bearings.
3) Front wheel bearings could be shot and both need to be replaced.
4) More likely the sway bar bushings. Loosen the frame mounts and apply some heavy grease. Or just soak everything down with WD-40 and call it good.
5) Can't really help you there because my account is about dried up too:( Find the richest gay guy you can and tell him you will be the best piece of a** he's ever had for whatever you feel you're worth;)
