Great forum. Only posted a few times but have really enjoyed reading, until now....

2005 EX with 33,000 miles. Battery and charging system worked fine for the 2 years I've owned it. I just installed a Clarion CD player, which has a constant on power lead, which I hooked up. Now, if I don't drive the truck for 1-2 days, the battery is dead when I get in.

Do you think the CD player has caused this, or could it be something else. I am going to Auto Zone tomorrow to get the battery and alternator tested. Any other ideas.

Thanks everyone!!!

IF the problems started after CD install that I would guess that it could be a problem. Recheck all the wiring, making sure that constant power and switched igniton power wires are correctly hooked up.

Thanks guys,
I took it to Advance Auto this morning, and the battery was bad. It was the original, so 5 years old. He tested the alternator and said it was good, 14.4 during crank and 13.5 or something during engine rev and head lights activated. I hope those are good numbers.

I'm still going to re-check the cd player, I may have also switched a wire.

Thanks again.
